Damnit, something I probably should have included - in the very first comment!.. Thinking about it though I don't see TF2 as much of a series.. a fun multiplayer game yea, but, I don't really feel that it qualifies as a shooter series, and in a way I don't feel that it really belongs on the list.. I guess its half life for you then! ;]
ReplyDeleteTotally agree pleth, this poll was inspired purely because this game was floating around in my head, I only got it a few days ago and I love it, but for me I had to go with Counter Strike being my all time favourite, would kind of feel wrong hopping the BF series up to my top spot because of this one awesome game. I loved the old ones too but from my personal experiences and the ammount of time I spent playing various different games, CS nicks the top spot for me =)

ReplyDeleteI'm actually very surprised Halo hasn't been relentlessly hated on by COD fanboys in here yet.. Halo.. particularly Reach has my vote. It fixed a lot of the issues with 3, and it's very fluid in it's gameplay. So yeah, that's my vote.

ReplyDeleteIm going to have to go with either Half Life, Counter Strike or Halo. I mean, admit it. Halo set a very large presidency for xbox FPS, so did MGS, but really alot of companies had to step it up for Halo, if they didnt meet with criteria of a gamer the game would fall to pieces. Counter strike is classical, I fucking love it, its my childhood.
