Today I managed to pull my phone off a table at college when I reached for my headphones, for about the 10,000th time. This time however the screen managed to detatch itself from the body.. I have a Sony Ericsson W595 slide phone (pictured below).
The phone still works since the cable did not detach, however it wobbles around freely. I can live with this for now, but when I do replace it (which now seems to be much sooner than I originally intended) I plan to replace it with a smart phone.
I like/d my current phone, but it just lacks the horse power to do anything decent with, and even upon receiving texts it would lock up for a short while, especially when playing games/listening to music (I do alot of the latter over mobile games.)
If I can find something I like, which deserves its price tag and I'm happy with it, then I'll go for it.
Can any of you suggest some good smart phones, ones to avoid too perhaps? Thanks <3
Oh and just because I don't play many games on my phone at the moment doesnt mean I'm not looking for a phone thats fun to play games on, if theres decent ones for X, Y or Z OS then I will probably play them much more. =D
i use a htc legend, it's awesome.
ReplyDeletejust go for anything that runs android.
Been tempted towards an iphone 4, however htc's are awesome I hear =D
ReplyDeletesony xperia x10. nuff said.
ReplyDeleteI have the iphone 4. It's incredibly sexy, thousands of apps, great camera, incredibly responsive. I haven't been more content with a phone, but hey that's my 2 cents.
ReplyDeletethe xpheria is good as well as the evo, htc hd2, iphone 4, galaxy s
ReplyDeleteits all personal preference really
Depends on your network. I'm on Verizon and I lurvs my Incredible. I wouldn't mind having the Droid-X, but I've heard they're not the best build devices.
ReplyDeleteim going for the iphone
ReplyDeleteIf it's small, or dangles, or comes with no proper case, then it's gonna get wrecked. I yoinked the wrist strap off a Garmin Handheld GPS about 3 months ago.
ReplyDeleteDon't have anything to suggest tho. sorry.
You've made some interesting points... I also have some points (actually bubbles) on Enhanced by MS Paint :)
ReplyDeleteiPhone 4 if you can get one. iTunes is shit though. I've been hearing good stuff from Samsung Galaxy as well.
ReplyDeleteYeah Samsung Galaxy looks pretty good!
ReplyDeletebuy a cheap one
ReplyDeleteI've been disappointed with my Sony Ericsson phone, as are a lot of people. I also need to find a new cell phone.
ReplyDeleteDepends entirely on the network you're on.
ReplyDeletesomething cheap and reliable that you can break and just get a new one and not worry
ReplyDeletekeybo2
yeah something cheap tbh, if not blackberrys are quite well made mine hasnt broke and i drop it constantly!
ReplyDeleteSamsung Galaxy S
ReplyDeleteit's a shame your phone had that accident dude, i don't really know about smartphones but don't spend too much in it
ReplyDeleteHTC Desire Z or something like that, unless you don't want an Android phone.
ReplyDeletemy phone is cheap
ReplyDeletewant to get a smartphone
HTC are great smartphones, but you need to care them too much, besides perhaps you need a warranty. I bought a pro touch and the screen screwed out.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you here. Check out my other TS blog, Swift Fanatics!
ReplyDeleteDamn, I wish I could afford a smartphone.
ReplyDeleteGrab a new HTC. :D
ReplyDeletephones are overrated. im still happy with my 8 years old nokia
ReplyDeleteget yourself a droid man.
ReplyDeleteHTC Desire is great, I have one myself ^^
ReplyDeleteYeah, HTC are good phones, but I see your looking for one to play music on etc? For that I wouldn't recommend a HTC/Android device; yeah they're an awesome handheld with unbelievable power such, but the battery power, not so good for what you want. I myself own one. Maybe the phone you had was, and will be, more fit for purpose?
ReplyDeleteIf it's not the iPhone4 then it's the Blackberry 8520, they're phones from completely different markets but they're both very good at what they do so yeah...
ReplyDeleteI have an HTC Hero, formerly I used the Motorola Droid (Milestone outside the US). Android is hands-down the absolute best OS for a phone there is, period. But the bottom line is that you must have the hardware to run it. There's a new wave of phones started by the HTC EVO that all have large 4-inch+ touchscreen only interfaces and 8mp cameras and Android OS -- get one of those.
ReplyDeleteEspecially as much as you love tech. Get the best Android phone you can afford.
Amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see HTC making such a great impact on the market! But still I would have to stick to my previous issue about battery life, and the lack of it! Keep up the good posting slumph (:
ReplyDeleteNokia X6, but if you're US, and don't know how to operate a real phone, get an Android phone, like a HTC.
ReplyDeleteSamsung Galaxy. My friend has one, and I had my hands on it for a bit. I love it.
ReplyDeleteimma have to show some droid x love here....had mine for a few months now, and i dont even know how i went on before...swtiched over from a blackberry storm...much happier now
